How to Send Healing Energy to Someone You Love

Have you ever wanted to send healing energy to someone you love, but felt like there was nothing you could actually do?
Maybe your child is sick. Maybe your mom is going through treatment three states away. Maybe your best friend just got news that knocked the wind out of her. And there you are, folding laundry or lying awake at 2 a.m., carrying all that worry in your chest with nowhere to put it.
I know that feeling in my bones. When my son was struggling with his health, there were so many moments I would have done anything to help him, and nothing left to do.
But here’s the truth, mama: you are never truly helpless. You can always send love, and love is energy. All it takes is your heart, your intention, and a few quiet minutes. And as you send it, you get filled up, too.
That’s exactly why I created this guided meditation, called Send Healing Energy to Someone Guided Meditation.
Send Healing Energy Guided Meditation
Whenever you are ready, here it is. Find a quiet spot (yes, even the bathroom counts), think of someone you’d like to send healing to, and press play.
If it brings you peace, I’d love for you to subscribe to my YouTube channel and tell me in the comments who you’re sending light to today.
Can You Really Send Healing Energy to Someone?
But before we dive into what happens in this practice, I want to share why I built this meditation the way I did. Because once you understand what’s happening, I think you’ll trust yourself a whole lot more when you sit down to send healing energy to a loved one.
All Energy Healing Begins With Intention
Here’s something I wish someone had told me years ago: every form of energy healing, in every tradition, starts with intention.
Reiki, Pranic Healing, prayer, a mother’s hand on a feverish forehead. The techniques look different on the outside, but underneath, they all run on the same thing. Energy follows where your attention goes. Your intention is the steering wheel.
That means you don’t need a certificate on the wall to send someone love and light. (Training absolutely deepens and refines your practice, and I’ll always encourage it! But it’s not the price of admission.)
You already have everything you need: a heart that loves, a mind that can focus, and the willingness to show up for a few minutes.
So why do I keep saying heart? Let’s talk about that.
What Is Heart-Brain Coherence?
This is the part that gives me goosebumps.
For decades, researchers at the HeartMath Institute have studied the relationship between the heart, the brain, and our emotions. One of their central findings is something called heart-brain coherence: a state where your heart rhythm, your breathing, and your brain fall into a smooth, harmonious pattern together.
And what puts us into coherence? Not forcing. Not willpower. Feeling. In HeartMath’s research, sustained feelings like love, care, and appreciation shift the heart into a smooth, ordered rhythm, while emotions like anger and frustration make it jagged and chaotic.
Here’s where it gets really fascinating:
- Your heart is the strongest electromagnetic generator in your body. According to HeartMath, the heart’s electrical field is about 60 times greater in amplitude than the brain’s, and its magnetic field is more than 100 times stronger. It can be measured several feet away from the body.
- When you’re in coherence, that field becomes more organized. In other words, the loving state you’re in isn’t just inside you. It radiates.
- Other living beings can pick it up. In HeartMath’s studies, a person’s heartbeat signal could show up in the brainwaves of someone sitting nearby. In one experiment, a boy who simply felt love for his dog, without touching it, saw his dog’s heart rhythm shift toward coherence too.
And this one, mama, is my favorite: when a mother focused her attention on her baby, her brainwaves synchronized to her baby’s heartbeat.
Talk about a heart connection, right?
So when we begin this meditation by breathing into the heart and generating a genuine feeling of love or joy, we’re not just “setting the mood.” We’re shifting the body into coherence, the most organized, radiant energetic state we have.

The Healing Wisdom: Pranic Healing’s Twin Hearts Meditation
Now here’s what I love most. Modern researchers are measuring what healers have been teaching for centuries.
In Pranic Healing, Grand Master Choa Kok Sui taught a meditation called the Meditation on Twin Hearts. The “twin hearts” are two energy centers (chakras):
- The heart chakra: the center of emotional love, compassion, and kindness.
- The crown chakra: at the top of your head, known as the spiritual heart. It’s the doorway to Divine love, oneness, and higher spiritual energy.
In Twin Hearts, you activate the heart chakra first, then the crown, and then bless the earth with loving-kindness. When both centers are activated together, you become a clear channel for Divine energy to flow through you and out into the world.
The order matters, too. Master Choa Kok Sui taught that the heart should be opened before the crown, so the powerful spiritual energy you receive is grounded in love and compassion.
If you look closely at the Sending Healing Energy guided meditation, you’ll see those same principles woven all the way through:
- We start in the heart. Breathing into it, then generating a real feeling of love or joy.
- We carry that feeling up to the crown, and invite golden Divine light in through the top of the head.
- We hold both centers at once, heart and crown, so the energy is both loving and spiritual.
- We bless outward, but instead of the whole earth, we focus that blessing on one person you love.
To be clear, this is NOT the formal Twin Hearts meditation. That’s a meditation taught by Pranic Healing instructors, and I highly recommend trying it if you feel called!
This is a simpler, gentler practice inspired by its principles, made for busy moms with ten minutes to spare.
Where Ancient and Modern Meet
SO.
What the ancient traditions called opening the heart, science now calls coherence. What healers called prana or ki or Divine light, we’re beginning to measure as fields and frequencies and rhythms in the body.
Two languages, describing the same truth: when you come into a loving, focused state, your energy changes, and that energy reaches beyond you.

That’s why I truly believe everybody has the ability to send someone healing energy. Not just healers. Not just the “spiritual” people. You. Your love, your intention, and your coherent heart are the tools.
And yes, my friends, it really works. I’ve seen it in my own family and felt it in my own body.
And because your own heart is the source, you get filled up in the process, too. You can’t send love from a coherent heart without first feeling that love yourself.
What Happens in the Send Healing Meditation
So, what does it actually look like to send healing energy to someone in this practice? Here’s a peek at each stage, so you know exactly what to expect.
Settling In
We begin by sitting comfortably with a straight back and taking a couple of deep belly breaths, letting each one out with a sigh. (That sigh is one of my favorite tiny nervous system resets. Try it right now!)
Then we soften everything: shoulders drop, belly releases, face relaxes. Other thoughts get to fall away for a little while. You’ve earned this pause, mama.
Activating the Heart
Next, we bring our attention to the heart center, right behind the sternum, and breathe into it. Simply placing your attention there begins to activate this powerful energy center.

Generating Love and Joy
This is the coherence piece. You’ll generate a happy feeling in your heart, either from a memory or by contemplating a word like love or joy, and let it bloom like a flower opening to the sun.
Don’t overthink this part. A memory of your baby’s first giggle, your morning coffee in the quiet, a beach you love. Whatever warms you up is perfect.
Connecting Heart and Crown
We send that happy feeling up to the crown, at the top of your head. Then you’ll invite luminous golden light to pour down from above, through your head, neck, arms, and chest, filling your heart center so it grows bigger and brighter.
This is the Twin Hearts principle in action: heart and crown, both activated, at the same time.

Sending the Healing
Now you’ll slowly raise your arms with your palms facing out and picture your loved one in front of you. Golden light streams from your palms and embraces them. You’ll see them smiling, receiving it, happy and healthy.
Your only job is to keep your attention on your heart, your crown, and your palms, and let the energy flow.
ReceivING It Back
Then you’ll bring your hands to your own heart and feel that energy return and fill you up. Your loved one smiles and waves as they fade from view.
As you give, you also receive. This is my favorite part, because so many of us moms pour and pour and pour, and forget that we’re allowed to be filled up, too.
Cutting the Cord
Finally, you’ll raise your hands over your head and chop them down in front of your torso while mentally saying, “cut.” We repeat this a few times.
This severs the energetic cord between you and your loved one. It doesn’t cut off your love (nothing could!). It simply completes the session energetically, so you’re not carrying their heaviness around afterward and they’re free to receive in their own way.

Tips for Sending Healing Energy
Want to get the most out of your practice? Here are a few things I’ve learned along the way.
- Feel it, don’t just picture it: The visualization is lovely, but the feeling is the engine. If you can only do one thing well, generate that warm, loving feeling in your heart. That’s what brings you into coherence.
- Send it for their highest good: Hold the intention that the energy will serve your loved one in whatever way is best for them. You’re offering a gift, not forcing an outcome. Let them receive it in their own way.
- Distance doesn’t matter: Your loved one can be in the next room or on the other side of the world. Energy follows intention, not mileage.
- Start with someone easy: If you’re new to this, begin with someone you feel uncomplicated love for, like your child, your partner, or even a pet. It’s much easier to stay in a loving state.
- Don’t skip the cord-cutting: I know, I know, it’s tempting to drift off at the end. But closing the session keeps you from walking away carrying someone else’s worry. Especially for us moms!
- Repeat as often as you’d like: Daily, weekly, or whenever someone is on your heart. Like any skill, the more you practice, the stronger and more natural it feels.
- Keep supporting them in the physical world, too: Energy healing is a beautiful complement to medical care, never a replacement. Keep the doctor’s appointments, the medicine, and the casseroles coming.

Final Thoughts
When someone you love is hurting, you are never as powerless as you feel. Your heart is a radiant, powerful source of energy, and science and ancient wisdom are telling us the very same thing.
You don’t need anything fancy to send healing energy to someone. Just your love, your intention, and a few quiet minutes to come into coherence and let it flow. And as you give, you receive.
Take a deep breath, mama. Your love reaches farther than you know.
This post was all about how to send healing energy to someone you love, and the heart-centered science and wisdom behind it. 💛
